The version of Washington, DC portrayed by mainstream media dwells on our national monuments and federal buildings. In reality, there's so much more to our story. DC, the real DC, is home to diverse neighborhoods, thriving businesses, and some of the best restaurants in the United States. The real DC is vibrant and full of life.  We have a history of championing those underserved and overlooked. It's time we told our story on our own terms.
